“Cows: A Closer Look,” an exhibit featuring photographs by Paul Thoresen, will be on display June 25, 2012 to July 27, 2012 in the
Steenbock Gallery. An artist’s reception will take place on
Friday, June 29, from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. The event is free and open to the public. The Steenbock Gallery is located at the
Wisconsin Academy of Sciences, Arts, and Letters, 1922 University Ave., and is
open Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
First the book, now the exhibition.
Wisconsin photo artist Paul Thoresen presents images selected from a large body
of work spanning 18 years in which he visually explores the depths of bovine
nature. The exhibit invites
viewers to take a closer, deeper look at dairy cows and see them with fresh eyes.
