“Altered Views” exhibition focuses
on the process of creating art.
“Altered Views,” an exhibit
featuring work by Vicki Reed, will
be on display October 8, 2012 to November
9, 2012 in the Steenbock Gallery.
An artist’s reception will take
place on Friday, October 19, from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. The event is free and open to the
public. The Steenbock Gallery is
located at the Wisconsin Academy of Sciences, Arts, and Letters, 1922
University Ave., and is open Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Wisconsin based photographer, Vicki
Reed captures her photographs with vintage, pinhole and toy cameras as well as
with camera-less techniques and often uses alternative photographic processes
to create her final images. Cyanotype, lith, infrared, hand-colored, encaustic (wax)
and lumen prints are included in this exhibit.
